Let them praise the name of the LORD, for he commanded and they were created. (Psalm 148:5)
By the word of the LORD were the heavens made…For he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm. (Psalm 33:6, 9)
These verses speak to the truth of creation and the falsehood of naturalism. Psalm 148 advises that the angels, the heavenly hosts, the sun, moon, stars were all created upon God's command. The creation is exhorted to praise the LORD and praise the name of the LORD for his creative acts and power. God created Ex Nihilo (out of nothing).
There is no doubt that the Bible strongly teaches that God is Creator and totally sovereign over the entire universe. What a tragedy that so many in the Christian Church have so greatly compromised by attempting to incorporate atheistic naturalism (theistic evolution, gap theory, progressive creation etc.) into the faith.
